Our Little Secret

So if you haven't heard or seen it on facebook yet...Dustin and I are EXPECTING!!  Baby Liefer is scheduled to arrive around February 9, 2012.  We are both very excited and so are our families.  Here is a picture of Baby Liefer at 12 weeks gestation (07-28-2011).
People ask me how I have been feeling and it really just depends on the day.  The last two weeks have been better with the morning all day sick feeling.  I seriously cannot complain because so many have had it much worse than me.  I also now COMPLETELY understand when a pregnant woman says she's exhausted.  It's because she IS!  I always understood that fatigue would come along with it but wowza I had no idea just how tired I would be.  I come home from work...somehow find some energy to make supper (nothing gourmet by any means) and by six I am on the couch snoozing.  Sure a ten minute nap wouldn't be so bad but it ends up being like an hour later.  If they would let me take naps at work, I would totally be snoring away!  As far as food cravings, I really haven't had anything drastic...like Dustin doesn't have to make a 11:00pm run to the grocery store or anything.  Somethings I have craved along the way are Taco Bell, Jimmy Johns, Macaroni and Cheese...that's a few that come to mind so far.  I also for whatever reason now have to have Ketchup with my french fries...I am not a ketchup person.
That's it for now...I am sure I will have updates in the weeks to come! :)

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend flew by juat as they always do.  Friday night we decided to run to Fairview to Jared's so I could get my ring cleaned.  Not sure why but the tech that helped thought I only wanted it inspected, so I had to ask her twice to clean it.  Look at it lady...it's DIRTY!!!  I have never had any issues there so hopefully it was just that this lady was having a "not-so" good day.  After get the jewelry thing taken care of, we went to Ruby Tuesday to eat and then headed back to the Bud.  We were dog sitting all weekend (Spencer is such a great dog) so we came home, let the dog out and then headed to bed.  Saturday morning/afternoon we did a whole lot of NOTHING!!  Seriously, Dustin laid down and took a 3 hour nap and I took a 2 hour nap.  We decided that maybe we should go do something / anything just to get out of the house.  As we were heading out we received a text that our friends had their baby!  We are so happy for them.  We decided to wait and see them on Sunday...they had had a LONG day and needed some rest!  We took a drive around the countryside and checked fields.  Oh the joys of being a Farmer's wife.  Yep all the crops are popping out of the ground.  We then headed over to the ball diamonds and watch Dustin's cousin play ball.  Very exciting games to watch.
On Sunday we woke up early and headed over to see the baby!  He is absolutely precious!  After the hospital we headed to Sam's to get some lemonade...yay we decided it was time to leave after spending over $100.00.  That was some very expensive lemonade.  Sunday evening we headed to Dustin's parent's house for some fried chicken (YUM!) and some quality family time.
It was a GREAT weekend and I am so ready for the next weekend!!

Have you seen...

This Man:

He was probably last seen in one of these:

He should be done today...well that is until they decide to fire up the combine and get the wheat out and then put in the double crop beans.  I am really hoping that I may get to spend an evening with my husband tonight and possibly Friday night.  And I am majorly crossing my fingers that he will have the weekend off.  That may be wishful thinking so I am praying hard for a little rain!!  Not seeing him but for a maybe an hour a day (waking hours) can be very trying.  I did go ride in the tractor with him the other day so that helped out.  I do try to remember that it could be worse.  Any Military spouse/family member gets a big standing ovation from me!  A big THANK YOU to all the men and women who leave their families to guarantee our safety!!!

Cardinal Ballgame

On June 1st, we headed to the Cardinal game.  It was Khoury League night at the stadium which meant the RB Khoury League players got to walk around the field.  It was also special because one boy and one girl from Red Bud had the honor of throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.  This year my niece was the lucky one who got to do this and she did absolutely wonderful.  She even threw a strike.

Weekend Recap (a little late)

Friday night I played Bunco with the girls.  I always enjoy these nights...great conversations...great food...great drinks...oh and let's not forget...Bunco.  Apparently, I didn't pratice (haha) enough last week because I didn't do very good.  While I was at Bunco, Dustin helped Joe bury the dog fence wire.  Not sure what the correct terminology is for that but I think that sounds good enough.  Anyways, we both got home late and I actually beat Dustin home.  So, I pull into the driveway at 12:30 to find this...
Dustin and I are both still trying to figure this out!!
Saturday I helped my Mom with a wedding.  Yep, that pretty much covers that day of the weekend.  On to the next day...Sunday we went to lunch at The Office.  I seriously LOVE eating at this establishment and hadn't been there for probably two weeks...so yes, I was having MAJOR withdrawals!!!  So after getting my fix of lemon pepper wings, we headed out to the farm to show off the tractors to a lady who was visiting from Thailand.  To see her reactions to all the big equipment was simply amazing.  She informed us that in Thailand they do all the farming by hand and each farm consists of roughly 10 acres.  She amazed us on this one.  After that we went to Joe and Jen's and I finally got to see the Baby's room.  It is so caauute!!!  Dustin stayed there and helped Joe finish up the fence and I headed to the monthly Voss family party.  I love getting to see the family so much and it does bother me when we miss it.  It is amazing how the younger ones change so fast.
So that pretty much sums up the weekend...the past two days we've been waiting for the fields to dry up.  Finally...today may be the day when Dustin can get some more corn in the ground...150acres done...alot more to go. :)

Need a Laugh...

I received an email this morning at work and thought I would share the link with all of you.

It's all pictures of Awkard Pet Family Photos.  Some of them are absolutely hilarious and others, well, let's just say I really feel for the photographer. :)
I also really hope this link works. : \
